Roman Forum Card

My husband and I will be traveling to Europe in a couple of weeks. I read about the Roman Forum card in one of Rick's books, which covers admission to the Forum, the Colosseum and Palantine Hill, but can't seem to find any information on where to buy this card. I know there is another card called the Roma Pass, but that is a different card. Does anyone know if you can buy these cards before you leave the U.S. or do you buy it at one of the sights listed? Also, please let me know where you found the information on it.

Thanks!

I believe you can buy a entry ticket at any of the three places but Rick Steves advises that the line at Palatine Hill is much shorter. We were there last November and found this to be true.Short line and then bypass line at Colosseum.

yes, this is one of the real time-saving secrets of Rome! People are waiting 45 minutes at the Coliseum to buy a ticket and get in, while 5 minutes away there's no line for the same ticket.

Thanks Jack and Mike for your reply's. Do you know if you can purchase the tickets online or is it easier to get them at Palantine Hill? Lastly, do you know the price on this ticket?

Thanks again for your help.

Each of you should get the ROMA pass. It includes free and discounted sites and includes a 3 day all inclusive Metro/bus pass. It is completely worth it. Just use it at the Colosseum first.. You will by-pass the sometimes HUGE line. You literally walk to the entrance turnstile and flash the card. You should not need the other card.

I bought mine at the TI at Termini station.

Thanks for your reply, Jaclyn. We'll wait and get them at the Termini station. Do you remember what you paid for them?
