A large collection of ancient Roman statuary and other decorative items is now being exhibited at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.A. Until October 12, 2008. This collection of 184 ancient items includes fine white marble sculptures of the Roman Emporers Augustus Caesar, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero. And Sculptures of Jupiter, Athena, and other ancient Roman dieties, and griffins. And spectacular mosaics made of thousands of pieces of colored marble, glass, limestone. And gold jewelry, frescoes, glass vessels, bronze lamps, and other objects dating from the first century B.C. to the early fourth century A.D. Half of the items were in storage in the Louvre in Paris for a long time. The exhibit includes items unearthed in Pompei and Herculaneum.
