This is so cool! I started seeing it today so opened window #6 to see Vermeer's Little Street painting in the snow. Very clever and fun! You can go back and open all the windows just like an Advent Calendar....but secular!
I opted to put this under General Europe since it's winter holiday themed and not necessarily just Netherlands. I loved Day 2 which is one of my favorite Avercamp paintings! And yes, the focus in on the guy pooping, hahaha!!

I just did the puzzle on Rick's Advent Calendar...wonder if the Rijksmuseum will include a puzzle?
I spent some time in the stairwell where the opening and closing light fixtures are located. It was at the exit from the Vermeer exhibition last spring. I thought the looked disturbingly like jelly fish opening and closing and they were out to get me!
I was so mad in January when I realized I had missed those "ballooning" fixtures. I knew I had to have been somewhere around them but somehow not in the exact right place.
I am going to check out their Advent calendar now, it sounds really wonderful. Thanks for sharing !

Pam, I love this!!! I'm just starting to watch them and they are wonderful! I love day 6, which shows the streets of Delft during a gentle snow. So beautiful and mesmerizing!
And I also loved day 2. However, when I got to the scene with the chickens clucking and squawking, the 2 dogs upstairs started barking their heads off! Made me laugh!
The whole thing is fascinating! I want to watch it over and over! Thanks so much for finding this and sharing!
