Ricks Maps on your mobile device

I have downloaded some of Ricks maps onto my computer along with some podcasts. The maps are showing up in the books section of my itunes on the computer but I can't find them on my Iphone after syncing. Any idea how I get access to the maps on my mobile device?

Did you look in iBooks in the PDF area on the iPhone? You can also email them to yourself, use the DropBox app, lots of options to get them there.

Yep, what Nadine said sounds right to me...so, first, download iBooks from the App store if you haven't already...then, when you open iBooks, at the top of the screen there should be a "Books" button, click on that and it will bring up a "Collections" menu that lists Books and PDFs..click on PDFs and then hit "Done", and that will return you to a screen listing all the PDF files you have. When you're finished with the PDF section, hit the "PDF" button at the top of the page, and you will again return to the "Collections" screen where you can select "Books" to get back to your books...

Not directly related to your question but in my experience (albeit limited), the maps in the Rick books I have on my iPad are not a great experience. I had hoped that I would be able to zoom way in on the map and it would still be readable, but the maps in the books I have are relatively low resolution - zooming them only made then big and super blurry. This is not a limitation of the device or software, rather that's how the electronic version of the books were built (that is, if they made the books with higher resolution settings, the maps would stay crisp when zooming in - of course, the file/download would be a lot bigger, but that's not an issue for me - having usable maps trumps that). YMMV.

I recently discovered something about the Rick Steves Audio Europe on my little iPod. Download "Rick Steves Audio Europe" through the Apps store (free). Once loaded, you can add tracks to your play list. Some of the tracks are radio shows, which are actually very interesting other's are the tours. But when you are in the Walking Tour Tracks, there's an Maps icon that you can click on and zoom in, move around, through the touch screen, and are not blurry.
