Americans are traveling overseas in record numbers this summer; it’s the first full summer without pandemic restrictions since 2019. For many that will mean long lines, crowded tourist sites and some travel headaches. John Yang spoke with travel writer Rick Steves for tips on navigating this new era of travel.

Nice interview thanks for sharing, I do wish they would stop with the temporary local thing, it really gets under my skin as a local, yes come to Europe and enjoy it but be respectful and don’t try and be a “temporary local “ be a considerate tourist instead. Some things should be separate
I was an expat for several years. Asia, not Europe, but the principle is the same. There is no "temporary local". Even as a 2, 3, 4 year expat with family living, schooling, and working in a foreign country, you aren't a native or even a local. Ask the locals.
