Did anyone see Rick Steves in Peoria, Illinois? My sister and I were visiting our elderly Dad in Peoria, and a friend mentioned Rick Steves was in Peoria that weekend. Being from Idaho, and having Rick Steves home=based in Seattle, couldn't believe we would get the chance to see Rick in Illinois. We are avid Rick Steves fans, and have been to Italy twice, and followed his guidebooks as to eating, hotels, self guided tours, etc. His presentation in Peoria was outstanding. He is so engaging, so enthusiastic about European travel, and has fast. so much information to share, but the time went by too quickly. We could have listened to him for hours. Also enjoyed the You Tube video of Rick's limo ride from Chicago to Peoria.
If anyone gets a chance to see Rick Steves LIVE, it is very much worth your time.
