Citing growing demand for large pieces of luggage checked luggage the travel store will now be carrying a 32" rolling luggage with over 7000 cubic inches of capacity. These bags are intended to be checked only and are much larger than any carry on bag is allowed. For more details see link
Lee, you better patent that idea quick. If they can make a robot that knows where to vacuum, a self-propelled suitcase is not far behind.
Oh no..remote controlled suitcases.... more technology to learn... everyone will have their own special way of controlling their suitcase and getting it around corners and up and down stairs...its making my brain hurt
Ah, a good giggle to start my morning!
Lol...good one Ed, I like your sense of humour..had me hook, line, and sinker...I was about to comment that "32?..have people lost their minds?"...then I clicked on the link.....
At first I thought, "32 inch"! They should have to have a truck license for than. Then it hit me. That will be the next fad in luggage - self propelled. I can see all those using SP rolling luggage using the excuse, "I have to have a self propelled bag because I have weak wrists and it hurts them to drag a rolling suitcase.
Lee you might be on to something. Luggage not just with wheels but a small electric motor that allows you to walk behind it and steer it not push it just like a self propelled lawnmower.
We might even get innovative and put a little chip in your belt and have it automatically follow you. Or give you a hand-held controller, and you can have it proceed you where you can watch it.
Terry -- fear not. Apple is already working on an iphone app to teach you how to control your remote control luggage.
Lee, while you're at it, could you design it with a seat on top and a GPS? That way once you arm-wrestle it off the train, you could plug in the hotel's address, hop on, and off you go...
Ed... so I have to upgrade my blackberry to the iphone????
..and I thought that Rick Steves' 26" Roll About Suitcase at Luggage.com was incredibly huge!!! http://www.luggage.com/Rick-Steves-RSK-061-KU1144.html Good joke!!!
Now you can pack your own back door.
