Rick Steve's Tours?

Can you join in on one of the Tours that Rick offers without actually booking the entire tour? We will be in Paris the same time as one of the tours scheduled for December 27, 2009. Although, we will be leaving before the tour is actually finished. We want some of the RS experience that is offered, but not all.
Thanks for any answers you can provide!

Why don't you call the RS office and speak to the tour department? That would give you the right answer.

Given how the RS tours are structured, I rather doubt it, but please post back here as I'd love to know what answer you get.

My guess (and it's just that) is that you would likely have to pay the full amount if they would let you join in.

On my one-and-only RS tour (which was great, BTW), a solo traveling woman left our tour a day early when her son came to Paris and she went off to stay and travel with him. So, maybe.

Well, I received my answer: There are no partial tours and no children under the age of 12 allowed on the tours. So, it will be off to Paris on our own for our first time with our 7 year old! Yikes! Well, he did great at age 4 just him and me 3 days in San Diego while my husband was on a job. So, all of us in Paris without speaking French should be fine. Good thing I have been reading this Helpline for the last 6mths and still have 5 months before I book anything and 6 before leaving. So, keep posting and I will try to learn as much as possible before we leave. I have bought the books!
