Reservation confirmations

I made all our hotel reservations (Germany, Austria, CZ) a couple of months ago (we're leaving in three weeks). Should I confirm all of them before we leave or just wait until a couple of days before we plan to arrive at each hotel?

Yes, do reconfirm all by email now. Then if there is a prob you will have time to make another reservation. I always do this every year for my trips to Europe espec if they are B&B's. Rick also mentions this in his book for his recommendations. They are small businesses and they appreciate reconfirmations.
Sometimes they also would like an idea of when you might check in. enjoy your travels.

I agree, reconfirm. We lost a B&B that we were really looking forward to staying in near Killarney once because the woman said she didn't have our reservation (we had a copy of the original confirmation with us), so she had no room when we arrived. And you don't want to know what kind of place she sent us to down the street!

I'd do it now too just in case one hasn't been received or something untoward has happened. If there is a problem you can sort it out now and if need find alternative hotels. I'm sure it will all be OK but not a bad idea to double check it.

We reconfirm just prior to leaving home...then again 2-3 days prior to our reservations. Gives them time to respond.

I would recommend to always take a copy of your confirmation of your reservations. And when you confirm your reservations before you leave, print that off and take also.
