Just thought it was interesting. Maybe not the best place to be recently. But interesting.
Way too close to you-know-who. But then, so is Miami.
I heard / saw reports that Georgia is overfilled by young Russian men escaping from being forced into war.
Under the bill - which passed its third and final reading with 84
votes against 30 on Tuesday - NGOs and independent media that receive
more than 20% of their funding from foreign donors would have to
register as organisations "bearing the interests of a foreign power".
They would also be monitored by the Justice Ministry and could be
forced to share sensitive information - or face hefty fines of up to
25,000 GEL ($9,400; £7,500). Protesters are concerned that the
legislation would be used by the government to suppress its opponents.
Parallels have also been drawn with an authoritarian bill which came
into force in Russia in 2012, and which the Kremlin has since used to
clamp down on dissidents.

If the protesters stick with it, it could be another Ukrainian Maidan and could lead to another invasion. https://www.voanews.com/a/georgia-s-protesters-vow-to-stay-on-streets-until-government-falls/7652879.html
But a lovely country I understand. And I believe Wizz does fly from Budapest, so ...............
We spent a week traveling there. Interesting. Complicated. Bureaucratic. Dress codes for women in churches with guardians handing out cloths to hide women’s trousers. Locals overcharging tourists. No plans to return but I would return to its neighbor, Armenia.
Its darn inconvenient having to comply with the customs of the culture.
But you are correct Armenia is worth a visit and as they are members of the CSTO (along with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan) that should keep them free of invasion anytime soon. (CSTO is the Russian version of NATO)
Armenia left the CSTO. As it turns out being a member of the CSTO does not shield you from Russian meddling. Only NATO membership does that...
Its darn inconvenient having to comply with the customs of the culture.
Well, if Georgia wants to join the EU it needs to up its game with respect to the treatment of women.
