I have had my passport replaced / lost since i entered italy, therefore there is no entry stamp. will it be a problem when I leave italy or EU?

No, in fact I hardly remember anyone looking at the passport.

Bob, your dateline says Amsterdam, Netherlands, but I am guessing that is not your home nor the country from which you hold your passport. I doubt if your passport will be checked when you leave the EU, except by the airline, though if you travel through the UK it may be. Your e-issued passport will show where it was issued and I would think sny explanation from you would be sufficient. Depending on where you are returning to, you may have more explanation to give there.
