can anyone recommend a good hostel for any or all of these cities.. these are the last of ones i need to find.
Rome
Paris ( would absolutly love one really close to le louvre!! )
Pisa
Dubrovnik
Bruges
any town in the Cinque Terre
- preferrebly ones that have a great location and are clean... that means more to me than the cost of it.
For Rome please book the beehive!

probably one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in, book in advance as everyone knows how good they are and they will fill up.
Also for cinque terre it's not a hostel but I loved
Gianni Franzi, located in Vernazza

I payed 40 euro a night for a single room, but it was worth every penny, it has about a million stairs but the views are nothing i have ever seen. If you would like some photos just message me.
Haven't stayed there but the MIJE for Paris is suppose to be good, it's three historic building all near each other.
www.mije.com the one called Fourcy is suppose to be the best.
brittany, some suggestions for Hostels in Rome and the Cinque Terre....
The Beehive is an excellent choice, but is a bit small, very popular and often booked solid! Another you might consider is Alessandro Palace. It's a very convenient walk from Termini, and based on my experience it seems to be well run. There's a Bar, so it can get a bit noisy at night, but everyone seemed to enjoy the atmosphere.
In the Cinque Terre, the "official" Hostel is located in Manarola. I had a look at it last year, and it's clean, well run and offers good facilities. However, there IS a lockout during the day, which seems to be strictly enforced (the doors ARE locked!). Have a look at www.cinqueterre.net/ostello/ for further details. I stayed in Riomaggiore using Mar-Mar rooms, and was very pleased with the accomodations.
Not sure about your Itinerary, but you might want to drop Pisa and do it as a day trip from Florence? You can see the Tower easily in a day trip. Just a thought....
Cheers!
For Paris, I recommend Auberge International des Jeunes. It's not really close to Musée du Louvre, but it's two steps away from the metro (Ledru-Rollin in the 11e)...15 mins from the Louvre stop. Friendly, multilingual staff, clean, free sheets, breakfast included, nice neighborhood, sizable rooms. Arrive in the morning to get the cheapest kind of room, which is two sets of bunk beds for four people. If they don't have any vacancies, the staff will offer you a room in the Bastille Hostel next door. It's owned by them and is connected indoors. That building only has private and double rooms, so they will cost more, but at least you won't spend the night on the street :-)
Just got back from Hostel Perfect in Paris - it's in Montmartre and VERY clean. More of a small hotel than hostel. Loved it. Great location between two metro stops. www.paris-hostel.biz
Rome - we stayed at Lilliput Hostel. Clean, small dorms, great staff, good location. http://www.lilliputhostel.com/
I've stayed in the Fourcy MIJE hostel and was very well pleased. In their Paris guidebooks both Rick Steves and Lonely Planet say that Maubuisson is the best of the three.
tim: do you know approx. how much the stay is per night in a dorm room ( female or mixed ) at the MIJE fourcy?
For Bruges I highly recommend Charlie Rocket's. It is located about a 30 second walk from Market Square, has a bar downstairs for a good nightcap, it is safe, clean, comfortable, and cheap, about 20 euros per night. charlierockets.com
