Reading my OBB train ticket for business class reservations.

Thanks for your quick response, Jazz+Travels - I'm puzzled though because I paid for business class which they note specifically includes seat reservations, which is something I really wanted since my parents and I want to make sure we get seats together and don't end up in separate compartments. So from what you're saying, we can just sit in any of the business class seats? We had expected to get there just shortly before the train departs but it sounds like we need to get there earlier?

On 2nd thought I think my info is wrong after double checking. Maybe someone will chime in here. Did you get an e-ticket PDF in email?

Yes, I received pdf tickets and the info is in my first post. I'm not seeing anything there about car # or seat #s. Oddly, it does say "Klasse - 1" though my email confirmation when I purchased the tickets says business class, so maybe that is part of the problem?

Scroll down to Car 27. As you can see, there are only a handful of Business class seats, so it is unlikely they would split you up. There are 2 pods of 3 seats each.

Thanks, Sam. Should our tickets show what seats we have reserved in business class? I'm only seeing dates and times and for some reason it shows "Klasse 1" instead of business class.

Make sure you did pay the 15 EUR upgrade fee per seat.
Then send them an email with your questions from the contact page.

What I am expecting is "Wagen" and Platz" = vehicle and seat number. Can you find that on the PDF ticket. It should be somewhere on the ticket.

I'm not seeing "Wagen" or "Platz" anywhere on any of our 3 tickets, but I did just notice that there is a 4th page attached to our tickets that I hadn't seen that shows the below info. Is this vehicle 27 and seats 45, 41 and 44? That seems to coincide with the seat map that Sam sent.

German grammar, "Plätze" is the plural of "Platz".

P.S. Michelle, you are slightly confusing me by saying "4th page attached to our tickets". Or are you talking about the e-mail?
The e-mail is not the ticket. There should be a PDF file attached to the e-mail, that is the ticket. It should be one page only with a barcode and all the details.

Hi Chris, I am referring to the pdf of the tickets that I downloaded from the email confirmation. There were 4 pages to the pdf. The first 3 pages seem to be the actual ticket, one with my name, my mom's and and my dad's with the train time and date. The last page says RESERVIERUNG 03 PLÄTZE and that is the page where I finally found the car # and the seat #s that we reserved. All 4 pages have scanable ticketcodes. That's what was confusing for me at first because I was expecting to see a car # and seat # on each of the 3 tickets that named each of us as the passenger.
