Has anyone used rechargeable batteries in Ireland? My camera uses Sanyo Ni-MH battery charger. The notation on the back of the charger says Input 100-240V but I’m not sure how well the batteries will recharge.

Based on the information you listed, the Charger is designed for "world" operation so it should work just fine in Ireland. The batteries will charge in the same way they do at home.
You'll need the appropriate style Plug Adapter of course (as I recall, Ireland uses the U.K. model).
