Rayon and silk shirts

I have both Rayon and silk shirts in my wardrobe. Are these a problem with wrinkling? Thanks again for all your help. Hopefully with your help I'll be a respectable traveler!!!! :-)

Secret Traveler's Test:

  1. Wash some of each in bathroom sink.

  2. Hang all on plastic hangers and let dry.

  3. Evaluate results with own eyes.

  4. If doubt exists, find a woman and ask her.

What he said...but they are comfortable. Watch out, the fabric may shrink.

Rayon works pretty well. I also have some silk shirts; I like them but they do tend to get wrinkled (and you can't use a hot iron on them).

I have about ten button up shirts and ten t-shirts that are my travel shirt options. To qualify as a travel shirt, they had to survive hand washing and hang drying (generally precludes cotton), pack well (meaning minimum wrinkles), mix/match well and be comfortable (some polyesters meet all criteria but this).

The ones that seem to consistently work for me are made by North Face. I've also purchased some random brand shirts at Nordstrom Rack that are some of my favorites.

Start by hand laudering some shirts you think might work. See if they dry overnight and look presentable off the hanger. Once you find some that work, buy more like that.

1 - 3 I've had better success with Rayon myself.
