Rail Pass Validation in Switzerland

Hello-

I am taking an overnight train from Florence to Spiez, Switzerland next week, and then onto Interlaken. I am wondering about Swiss rail pass validation early in the morning. For example, will an SBB agent be there to validate it before 6:00AM? Or, can I validate it on the train? The connection times for me will be tight. See my sample itinerary below.

arr 05:43 Spiez - Platform 4

dep 05:49 Spiez - Platform 1 (R 5706)
arr 06:09 Interlaken Ost - Platform 8 The train arrives in Spiez at 5:43am

Best,
George

George,if no agent is available the conductor will know this and they will do it on the train. They are very good about checking. We were at a Varenna in Italy recently and the station was closed with no machines for tickets and the conductor just sold us the tickets on the train. My experience with the
Swiss Rail system has been similiar (I just returned from that region in Switzerland)so you should be fine.At that time in the morning there will be employees at the station so you can ask.
