Questions for Europe trip

Hello,

I'm planning to go to Europe early May with a tour group from Asia. I have several questions:

  1. Is it ok to bring Muesli ?. It has oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, etc. I just like this brand.
  2. The tour company said they'll escort us to food court. I wonder what price would I expect per meal for something like subs ?.
  3. Will credit card be better instead of cash ?. I know Master Card charges like 3% but it has buyer protection so I'm inclined to use it.
  4. Do you know where to buy the electricity adapter ?.

TIA,

John

  1. I don't know why you would want to bring Muesli. In much of Europe they eat something similar for breakfast.
  2. Your meal costs will depend on where you're going. If it's England or Norway, plan on $10--at least-- for lunch. If it's Portugal or Poland, plan on less.
  3. Use both your credit card and ATM. Many less expensive places do not take credit cards. If you're buying expensive items and having them shipped, then of course use your credit card. I don't think you'll ever come out ahead on currency exchange.
  4. For an electricity adapter, click on "Travel Store" on this website.

You can also buy a set of travel adapters at places like Walmart and Target.

Muesli will be fine , I assume it is packaged as a food product and not agricultural grade seed mix,LOL
I do think you will find they have very good muesli in Europe, since it seems it originated there as a breakfast cereal before it hit North America.Perhaps they will even have the brand you like in the stores?
I have bought adaptors at our local AAA, but I suppose most travel gear type stores may have them, and also check in department stores that have a good luggage section, as well as luggage stores.

At Walmart or Target, all you can get is a "set" of world plug adapters. I guess it is useful if you fear that you might go to sleep in France and somehow wake up in China, but really you need only one <$5 adapter from ACE hardware.

Thanks for all your helpful replies. I know I know...the European likes Muesli but I like this particular brand :-).
