Question about train

Help! I am trying to get a rough estimate of how much train cost will be on my upcoming trip. I am flying into Zurich, taking the train to Lichtenstein, from there to Murren, back to Zurich, then Bruges, then Amsterdam. I have tried to look at the train fares and schedules and my brain went to mush. I have an appointment with the SBB office to help me with my tickets when I land in Zurich but for budgeting I am trying to get a rough idea on the cost. Is there a way to do that?

Thanks, Kathy

Just try the web sites of the national rail companies. Depending on how far out your are looking, generally more the six months, schedules will not be available. Just use dates a couple of months out. Fares and schedules do not change much from period to period.

Liechtenstein: a whole lot of nothing. Actually, a tiny amount of nothing. Save yourself the trouble and go straight to Muerren. Your time there will be much better spent than in a nondescript corner of what, for all intents and purposes, is Switzerland.

I 100% agree with Sam regarding Liechtenstein!
Consider skipping it. If you want to go east of Zürich, the Appenzell area is worth visiting, but it depends on the total amount of time you have in Switzerland. Consider Luzern too: it is on the way between Zürich and Mürren.

And be aware that Switzerland to Bruges is a long way by train (about 10 hours from Interlaken to Brussels, 8 from Zürich). A flight from Zürich or Basel to Brussels could speed things up.

I've used the DeutschBahn website to estimate train costs. Seat 61 may be dated, too low, because they don't seem consistent with my recent searches for trains between Berlin and Vienna, Vienna and Prague, Prague and Budapest.
