I only need trip cancellation insurance. I am well covered for all else, but not in the position to risk losing all dollars if something comes up. Has anyone succeeded in buying only trip cancellation insurance? (And I'm aware of the limitations and fine print issues, and will look at that carefully)

Have you tried Squaremouth's website? The search function reveals a cancellation insurance option, but when I punched in some data, the results were for more extensive coverage. I typically use the Insuremytrip website as a starting point for coverage that includes medical, evacuation and depending on my comfort level for each trip "lost" expenses in worst case scenarios.

I have had success with an online insurance site, it is called insuremytrip.com. Have used them on 3 trips so far, purchasing only trip cancellation. I checked out some other ones, and this one was the best. They offer you a choice of different insurers that they represent, so can pick the best one for you. Good luck, and happy travels.

I also recommend insuremytrip.com - I got TravelGuard thru them and I have never filed a claim so I have no opinion of them. Good luck.

I too use insuremytrip.com. It's easy to compare policies and narrow down what you want to cover.

I second Squaremouth.com. They have a Zero Complaint guarantee, so I know if I have issues with the travel insurance company, they will back me up.
