Proud trip planning mama moment.......

My son and his wife are headed out for their first "solo" trip to Europe next week. They have been once before traveling with me.

He was talking with me today and sharing some of the trip planning efforts he had done for this trip. He has researched well, done a reasonable, well-organized itinerary, has options for activities in all destinations and seems ready to go. He told me he even used the search feature on the Rick Steves Travel forum to find out an answer to a question and had to laugh when he realized the answer in the thread that helped him was written by me. He has put useful apps on this phone and is basically ready to go.

It is a bit a proud moment for this mama who taught him about how to plan a trip to Europe. :)

Carol, your story reminded me that I’ve always travelled easily because my father took me around Europe, taught me how to do it, and then launched me off to do so by myself. Thank you, Dad, and thanks Carol for the reminder!

Carol, that's so cool! I don't blame you for being proud and happy for them! And I'm sure they will have a wonderful trip, which will go even farther to reinforcing those good habits and tips you taught him!

Maybe he'll even write a trip report when he's back (hint hint)? :-)
