I am hearing a lot about proctored Covid Tests for traveling. I am leaving in 3 weeks for extended trip to England, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Iceland. When returning to USA will it be easier to go for testing near airport in Reykjavik or are proctored Covid tests accepted there?
Proctored Covid tests are acceptable for entry into the US. The country you are in when you take one does not matter.
Here is a link about testing centers in Iceland as well.

The international airport in Iceland is 45 minutes from Reykjavik. Will you be staying in Reykjavik or closer to the airport? If you are in Reykjavik, one of the testing sights is at Harpa, which is the concert hall right in downtown. We did several covid tests there this winter and their system was very smooth. We scheduled it online, it took less than 5 minutes once there, and we had our results emailed to us within 25 minutes. We have also done the proctored tests when we were there last summer. Those were super convenient as we were doing the ring road and this allowed us to test at our convenience instead of having to be near a testing center at a certain time, which would have meant juggling our itinerary.
In addition to the above answer, there is also a testing site 2km from the international airport in Keflavik. We used it last September and it was very easy; got our results in 15 minutes. Although, purchasing the proctored self-tests before starting your trip means that you can test at your leisure and not have to worry about scheduling a test.
