Pro Tip: Save the disposable earbuds they hand out on your flight and use them for audio tours.

I've noticed that many of the audio tour devices they provide in museums and palaces in Europe do not have any earphones. They have a plug for earphones, but they don't provide earphones. They expect you to just hold the device up to your ear like a phone. If you carry a pair of earbuds, you can just plug them in and listen handsfree.

It used to be that many people carried earbuds anyway. But now many people have Airpods or the android equivalent. Those are great, but won't work with audio tour devices. For that you need a pair of old school wired earbuds.

The airpods will work if you have a Bluetooth transmitter. You just plug it into the device instead of the earphones. I used mine on a tour recently.

Thanks Travel Lite. I'll do that. I also have Airpods but they didn't synch up for me once on a tour, so the fail-safe plan will be wired earbuds.

But I'm an idiot when it comes to tech stuff, so the rest of you should be fine.

Yeah, I always bring my own earbuds, but the ones Delta provides, even in the cheap seats, are pretty good quality. I take them as a back-up.

I'm still "old school" and use wired ear buds, although I had to buy a somewhat pricey adapter to connect via the Lightning port. I have several sets including a noise cancelling model so always have a set available.

I have several pair I keep in a dresser drawer that is chuck full of travel devices. I already took two pair out and packed them for our Iceland trip as Iceland Air is one that you need these on.

We just flew on United - granted we were in economy plus - but the headphones we had were two pronged and since most devices are one prong, those wouldn't work to grab off the plane :(
