Fellow travelers, three of us will be visiting Dublin and Edinburgh prior to our scheduled tour of Germany & Austria on May 5. I'm looking for recommendations for where to stay in Dublin and Edinburgh. We'd prefer city center in order to explore but have only just begun planning. I've not stayed in either city, previously so am open to suggestions.

We are going to Dublin and Edinburgh in May.
In Dublin, I made a reservation at the RIU Plaza Gresham. It’s very centrally located and the airport bus has a stop by their door as well as the hip on/off bus. For Edinburgh, I made a reservation at the Tigerly hotel; however, I don’t have direct references to it. I just did some research using Trivago, Booking, and TripAdvisor.

My husband loved Wynns and stayed there repeatedly for business until they stopped having free copies of the Irish Times in the breakfast room. :-) On our most recent trip to Dublin we stayed at the Wilder, https://www.thewilder.ie/en/. While Wynns is north of the River Liffey (but still walking distance to Trinity College, Temple Bar, etc., the Wilder is south of Trinity College, Temple Bar and St. Stephen's Green.
