I am considering a trip for August/September departing from LAX. I have found some good prices on SAS, flying into Prague (PRG) (quick layover in ARN) and flying out of CPH (quick layover in ARN). Was considering 3-4 nights in Prague, train to Berlin, 4-5 nights Berlin, quick flight to Copenhagen and 4-5 nights Copenhagen, fly out of CPH. SAS offers the Plus Saver on these routes which seems to be the best deal I can find. Just wondering if anyone sees any potential problem with itinerary? Any input? Suggestions? Thank you
Is the leg Berlin to CPH included in the SAS itinerary? Look at it with a multi flight trip. Sounds fine to me. I've used SAS for ORD to VCE through ARN, returning via CPH. Good airline, in my experience.
Thank you for your responses. Haven't booked flights yet but probably will soon, only a few seats listed at these prices. Will book open jaw and add flight from TXL to CPH. I normally love taking the trains everywhere but the train from Berlin to Copenhagen is just too long, the flight time is just about an hour.
Thanks again for the input.
The route from Berlin using the EC train from Hamburg to Copenhagan is 7 hours 20 minutes. Its an option.
I think your plan looks just fine. As you yourself point out, the train from Berlin to Copenhagen quite slow because of the ferry crossing and the ferry is neither scenic nor particularly interesting. Flying is the better option, in all the trips I have taken to Berlin, I have never taken the train.
