Any ideas on good places to eat in Prague?
Generally speaking more often than not if it's in the touristy center food is mediocre and expensive. I had excellent svickova and beer for about 6 dollars at restaurant U Marianskeho obrazu. It's close to TV Tower in neighborhood Zizkov. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in Zizkov where locals eat. Food is cheap and good and beer is excellent. Just to mention another one: U Palivce. It's also in Zizkov. I had an excellent game there; wild boar. Out of the city centre. Nearby neighbourhoods where the locals eat.
Shannon, I'd suggest asking the staff at your Hotel for recommendations. I often use that method, and haven't received a bad tip yet. One of the places recommended by the Hotel was U Betlemske Kaple. The food was good and the service very efficient. Check the ratings on Trip Advisor for more information. Happy travels!
