Can I bring a pot candy bar back into US?

depends by your usages of the word "pot". If you want to bring back a bucket of M&M's that is perfectly fine. If you want to bring back something made out of Cannabis, sorry no.

Since medical marijuana is legal in Colorado, I'll bet you can find a pot candy bar right there in Durango. For medicinal use only.

And if he smokes weed or eats it in food today, that's not going to change just because you can't smuggle a pot candy bar back, is it?

I hope your husband isn't too bummed out. If only there was something he could use to cheer up and forget about being bummed out....

A few years ago my husband and some buddies were heading into Canada for a fishing trip. They stopped a few miles south of the border so one guy could - dispose - of a small item he had. Then my husband thought it would be funny to blast Arlo Guthrie's "Coming into Los Angeles" as they approached the border. You know, "don't touch my bags if you please, Mr. Customs Man." The joke was on them-the entire truck and all their belongings and equipment was dragged out and searched. The dog paid particular attention to the friend and his pocket, but nothing was found and they crossed into Canada. Moral of the story-border control probably knows Arlo, too.
