Pilot strike set for Friday 9/2/22 for 24 hrs. We're flying Seattle to Frankfurt flight LH491 on Saturday 9/3. Today, Thursday 9/1 flight from Seattle is canceled but Friday 9/2 and Saturday 9/3 show up as "on time." I suppose they could still be canceled? Slightly freaked out. Joining RS GAS tour on 9/6 beginning in Trier. Heidi

Lufthansa announced today that a deal was reached between the company and the pilots' union averting another strike that would have happened Wednesday and Thursday. Needless to say, I am relieved since we are scheduled to fly DEN-FCO next week via Lufthansa.

While the agreement between Lufthansa’s Pilots and Lufthansa has not been finalized, the planned strike for September 7 & 8 has been cancelled and word is there should be some news on Friday concerning the status of an agreement.

Its all my fault.

I ALWAYS fly Turkish Air to Europe. But in April to save a few bucks and on recommendations on this forum I got a July KLM flight through Amsterdam. Then all the issues at AMS occurred. Again based on rave reviews, I once again turned my back on Turkish Air, an airline that had been flawless for me on the previous 20 or so flights, and booked on Lufthansa for November. So, freaking of course there will be a Lufthansa strike or FRA will close or some other tragedy.

Forgive me Turkish Air.
