Traveling from Amsterdam to Paris on March 8th. Should we take the train or a plane ? What is cheaper ? which takes longer ?
Hi James,
I would definately take the train. I took the Thalys this summer and it was amazing. The train is wonderful and it is a very relaxing way to travel.

It's faster to take the train. The Thalys high-speed train gets you from city center to city center in just 3 hours 19 min. If you book far enough in advance you can get non-refundable/non-changeable tickets for as low as 25 euros. Book direct at http://www.thalys.com
Tell the site that you live and will be picking up your tickets in the Netherlands. You'll still be able to print your tickets out at home.
james,
ABSOLUTELY, take the high speed train! You'll need to get seat reservations, but those will be included if you buy P-P tickets.
By the time you factor-in travel to the airports at both ends, check-in, security and waiting times, you'll find that the train will be quicker (and much more relaxing).
Cheers!
