Hello! Through a web search I accidentally discovered Piran, Slovenia. It looks like a wonderful spot to chill for a few days. I am looking for hotel and transportation recommendations. We will be traveling in September from Florence. I have read that you can take the train to Venice and then take a hydrofoil across to Slovenia.

As of 3 years ago a boat called the Prince of Venice went Venice to Piran in the summer, about 2.5 to 3 hrs one way, about 4 times a week, mostly weekends, so not every day. September you need to check on frequency, etc. I've got a hostel, a mid range, and a high end sleeping recommendation, one of each--let me know what you're looking for.
I've stayed in Piran. Definitely a nice place to relax for a few days. Enjoy!
