Pictures

I am asking for help. My photo collection from different European travels have been destroyed during the recent wildfires here in the NW.

I am making calendars for 2021 Christmas gifts. I wanted to use photos for each month and include a special scripture. I am asking for help with unique images that are not the typical touristy image.

I will not sell them as they are just a gift. Please send any photos that you consider unique. If you would like a calendar please include an address.

Thank you for your help.

Bill,

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss.

Could you perhaps give us a little guidance as to what you consider unique? That might serve to help us cull out the more touristy images.

Best of luck to you in the new year as you recover from the loss of your home

Bill, I'm so sorry. The rest of us need to learn from your tragedy and use our time being shut in this winter to make sure all our photos are stored on the web as well as on our own devices.

I would love to help you. Could you give us an idea of which country or city you are thing of. Also. I would have to email them to you since I don’t know how to put them here.

Bill, I’m so sorry to hear that your photos were lost, and I hope you didn’t lose everything else. I am glad that you made it through the disastrous wildfires. Our place in the Colorado mountains was just downwind from 2 massive wildfires, and it was under a pre-evacuation warning, but the second fire then redirected to the northeast, and our place was spared. Friends’ homes were totally destroyed, though, including, ironically, our chimney sweep’s, but they’ve lived to take photos again.

Are you looking for photos similar to some you’d taken, or for anything that would be considered “unique?” I’m certain that would mean no selfies from an anonymous person! Nature (mountains, clouds, trees, lakes, oceans), animals in a obvious European setting, characteristic buildings, people in an interesting activity or location? It would have been interesting to see your pictures - where, when, and why did you take them?

I’ll help, as well, if I can. Best of luck rebuilding what you lost, and hopefully you won’t experience anything like this again.

Bill,

I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your pictures. As others have said, could you provide some idea on what type of photos you consider "unique". Are you interested in pictures of any specific country?

Since you know where you’ve been, consider a general Google or Flickr search on those places. Even a TripAdvisor search would probably turn up what you’re looking for. Photo quality might be an issue, but you’ll have your photos. As others have said, being more specific would return better responses.
