Hi, I plan on getting a SIM for my unlocked quad band phone when in Germany. Will I get a German phone number for this phone? and how would I phone my friend that lives in Germany? Thanks, Wendy

A German SIM will have a German number, so calling your friend will be just like a normal local call.

Wendy, as the previous reply mentioned, a SIM with a German network will have a German phone number. You might want to print out the chart at * www.ricksteves.com/plan/tips/phonechart.htm * (cut & paste the link inside the asterisks), as that details the calling information for each country. Cheers!

"how would I phone my friend that lives in Germany?" Drop the 011 (Europe code) and 49 (country code) then add a 0. If your calling between European countries, start with zero and add the country code in front of the number.
