Phone wall charger and Zune wall charger for London

Yes I want to know if there would be a adapter for my phone charger and my zune charger because the electrical is different in London than in the US? My phone is a Motorola razr v3xx and service is AT&T. My zune is a 120gb Zune.

Look at the chargers for your phone and Zune. Does it say something such as "Input 100-240 V 50-60 Hz"? If so, the charger will handle European current. All you need is the correct adapter to allow a U.S. style plug to fit into a London socket (Target, Wal-Mart, and so on sell these in U.S.). I've read that you can easily find them in London, too, at places such as Boots the Chemist.

Paul, finding an adapter in London won't do much good for someone taking an appliance from the US to Europe or the UK. The adapters sold in London will adapt the UK plugs to European or US plugs. They won't adapt US plugs to European or UK plugs. The poster will have to purchase adapters before leaving the US.

I saw UK>US adapters on sale in a local department store recently, so you will certainly find it possible to buy them after your arrival in London. It is true, however, that the biggest demand in Britain is for adapters which the British use when they go to other countries.

Yes - check your local Target or Walmart luggage dept or buy one online. They are not expensive.

Steven,

I'd suggest buying the Adapter Plugs before you leave. While you can obtain these in London when you arrive, they will likely be somewhat more expensive. Also, if you don't buy one at the airport when you land, it could take some time to find one in London as there may not be a shop in the neighborhood you're staying in. I'd suggest travelling with at least two Adaptor Plugs.

You can obtain these at Radio Shack stores, if there's one in your area. If you're going to be in Seattle in the near future, you could also stop by Rick's Travel Store in Edmonds as they stock them. As I recall, there's a large luggage store in Northgate Mall in Seattle at the north end (as well as a Radio Shack), so you should have NO difficulty at all in finding the Adaptors you need.

Happy travels!
