I have been looking for somewhere to buy a larger size petite length women pants that zip off into shorts. So far, I have had no luck. Anyone know of a place where I can find these pants in my size?

I struggled with this last year when I went backpacking around europe. Honestly I just couldn't find any for women, but the zip off pants are just not that attractive so I didn't take them instead I got a great pair of light weight capris from llbean.com. I was really set on getting the zip-offs for my trip but they really don't look good! I never wished I had the zip-offs if it's warm I would wear my light capris and if not I wore my pants, and if it got really hot I would just roll them up. I have had a difficult time finding larger sizes and in petite clothes, but also check out travelsmith.com, sears.com, magellans.com, and eddiebauer.com, the chance of getting both plus and petite in unlikely so I just get most stuff alterted.

landsend.com and llbean.com also have petite sizes, although no zip-off pants. I'm also looking for some comfortable travel pants, and will probably go with a stretch cotton or something similar.

Try Campmor. I bought the Campmor Trekmor pants and the sizes were "generous". www.campmor.com

Thanks for the great advise. Maybe I'll just skip the zip off idea. Capri's are cool and I'll just find some of those.

Check out a store (and they have website shopping too)called Catherine's. All they carry is size 16 and up.

I found women's at Bass Pro Shops for $19.99.
If you don't have one locally or they don't have your size, try the webpage.
Bealls Florida also has them for Fishermen. (Men's sizes, but they seem to fit the same).

REI offers extended sizes in their Sahara convertable pants (see http://www.rei.com/, search for REI Sahara Convertible Pants - Women's Extended Sizes). I have a pair and love them.
