What are the restrictions of traveling in Europe/getting in contries with a couple (1980's) felonies(have been vacated) but still show up ?
You will need to check each country's website to see what their specific rules are.
If I had anything that might cause concern, I would probably request a travel visa rather than show up under the visa waiver program and risk not being admitted to the country.
Be honest whenever you are questioned about your background. They probably already know the answers to the questions they ask. Your background may permit you to be denied entry but not require it, evasive answers incline officers to treat you more strictly.
Neal, you can also contact the country consulate for more information.
It would be a shame to fly all the way there, just to turn around. I've seen that happen with one of my travel group member in Canada.

Yes I know and have been told about CANADA they are the worst IN THE WORLD as far as getting in country for Americans
Goes both ways, their is an entire industry based on pardons up here for helping Canadians get entrance to the US for past felonies.
