Hey...
i got the opportunity to choose a school where i want to go for an exchange for five weeks. The problem is, i dont know where should i go! Please help! Which one do you prefer and why? Some pro's and cons?
Parma, Italy for the food, location and the options you have to visit other great places in Italy easily by train.
Consider your location by if you want to improve whatever other language skills you have.
Parma or Strasboiurg would be great.
Which languages do you speak?
Which school runs a programme which matches your concentration and university prep?
Which one is closer to the things you want to see?
Have you traveled to Europe before?
What do you like to see and do? What time of the year would the exchange be?
Hi,
Yes, it's a tough call between Strasbourg and Frankfurt. If you are totally focused on German, then choose Frankfurt for cultural and historical reasons which would include day trips r/t to Marburg, Kaub, Rüdesheim, Bad Ems, Koblenz, Heidelberg, Ingolstadt, Bonn. If you are into both languages, German and French, then Strasbourg, also to see Alsace-Lorraine. No, I don't know Parma except Stendhal's book.
More information: i would study in mainly in english, but also in french and probably spanish too. My programme is going to be european school exchange. My interests are food, good-looking local people, high level of education, big cities, parks, youth surrounded enviroment. I would like the city to have mamy things to do, because after all im staying there for five weeks. Which has the best nightlife?
For a five-week party, Frankfurt.
Are you US student/citizen? And what grade level? High school, college ???
If you are able to study in French, perhaps Strasbourg would be best for you to immerse in. Not much Spanish in the three cities you mention, and it is not possible to substitute Spanish for Italian because they are both too similar and completely different.
Scandinavian citizen and im afraid that middle school haha
Well if you are middle school you won't be doing much partying???
I meant with nightlife that it's not a town with just retired couples.
