Staying in Paris for 3 nights, any accomodation recommendations. We have two children 4&6 and a grandma. Don't want to spend a fortune if possible.
An apartment is your best option. You can rent one even for a 3-night stay from www.VacationInParis.com. although you will pay a slightly higher rate than normal for the short stay, it will still be less expensive and more convenient that hotel rooms, which are difficult to find for 5 in Paris. Vacation In paris is a reputable company and very easy to deal with; the prices are listed in dollars and you can pay with a credit card. They have apartments of different sizes all over Paris.
We also used vacationinparis.com for a week this June and really enjoyed it. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. There is also a contact person in Paris although we never needed to call. The other option I guess would be a triple room for the children and grandma[INVALID]if she doesn't mind?
My first recommendation would be to spend more than 3 nights...at least 4 or 5. Paris is absolutely jam packed with things to see and do.
Check out Hotel Marignan. It has rooms that will accommodate a family, a kitchen to use and a washer/dryer.
Judi - I have never stayed at Hotel Marignan, but a co-worker has, and said "It met his needs quite well". They were a group of 5(Dad, Mom, and 3 older kids). A quint with shower/toliet goes for 160€ per night. Here is the link. http://www.hotel-marignan.com/html/p1_a.htm
