Paris to London Ferry

I can not find specifics on which ferry lines cross from Paris to London and prices. Where they depart from in the city of Paris and where they arrive to in London, specifically the areas of each city. Can any one help with that.

There are no ferries between these 2 cities. There are ferries from the coast of France to the coast of England. Google "ferries from France to England" for the coastal cities involved. There is however the Eurostar train from Paris to London. In under 2.5 hours you can go from city centre to city centre.

sharon,, if you give us more information we can offer more specific advice. are you looking for cheapest way between London and Paris, then its a bus , Eurolines, BUT its a whole day,, 8-10 hours.. not very pleasant, but very cheap. Fastest is flying, but then you have to count in time getting to and from airports and through security,, this adds two hours on each side(| more or less). So , the best way is in fact the Eurostar which is so conveneneint, you are city center to city center in 2.5 hours,, and it can be reasonable price, IF purchased well in advance.

You'll find schedules for the Dover-to-Calais ferries here: http://www.poferries.com/ Eurostar is fast, swank, and expensive. Flying is faster, but yes, you have to deal with airports. The bus is... the bus. Not a way I would want to spend a vacation day (although I am a bit quirky and do love Greyhound here in the States!). The ferries are now old school, but quite fun. You get to cross the English Channel with the wind in your face! I rather enjoy this way of getting from Paris to London.

If you can sleep on a bus, then the cheapest way to get from Paris to London is the overnight Eurolines bus. You save the cost of a night in a hotel. Pardon me for quibbling, but when you factor in the time it takes to get to and from airports, the Eurostar is faster than flying. Less than 2 1/2 hours from city center to city center. Booked well in advance (up to 120 days allowed) at eurostar.com, you can get a fare as low as €42.50. Last-minute tickets are very expensive.

All in the past tense...yes, I did almost the same years ago...from Folkestone to Boulogne, where I took the train to Paris Nord. EuroStar is too much of a temptation to pass up even though I enjoy the ferry ride. Why not take the ferry connection from Portsmouth to Caen, then to Paris by train, that is, if you don't prefer EuroStar?

There used to be a boat train (which connected with ferries obviously) from London to Dover port and then again from Calais or Dunkirk or Ostende on to other major European cities. Long since defunkt I fear.

Years ago, I took the boat train from Folkstone to Calais and then a train into Paris. I don't know if that boat is still running.
