can anyone recommend a vacation that includes Paris with train to Italy.
would love to see Venice and either Lake Como or Amalfi Coast
You're query is too vague. You should include exactly how many days you have to travel.
Are you looking for a tour or to do this independently?. I would combine Paris with Venice and Lake Como. The Amalfi coast is much further south in Italy. Paris and Venice are both magical. I have not been to Lake Como bit it sounds beautiful. Rome2Rio is a great website to determine best ways to get to places. We love train travel . If you answer your own post with how long you have to travel and what you hope to see you will get more responses
People need more information to give you helpful advice. Do you have a week, two weeks or a month or more? For example, if you tell us you have a week meaning at best you work all week and leave for Europe on Friday night (realistically you will leave probably not leave until Saturday arriving in Paris or Venice on Sunday) and you have to be back at work on Monday the following week, the advice is easy: pick one, either Paris or Venice, because you don’t have enough time to do both.
An important note is that the direct train route from France to Italy through the Modane Valley has been out of action for some time due to a massive landslide. Trains may be running again from around the end of March, but don't get your hopes up. You can still get to Lake Como by train via Switzerland, though.
annwalsh 2406, Please provide more information. It is hard to answer your query when it is so vague. Thank you.
Does the Modane Valley issue mean there’s no high speed train between Paris and Milan? I was thinking that taking the train to Milan, connecting to Como, and then to Venice would be a good plan.
