My group of friends (4 couples, all between ages 73 & 82) have booked a cruise next May out of Barcelona. The cruise disembarks in Dublin. We are planning a pre cruise trip to Normandy. We are just not sure of the best way to arrange our transportation. If we fly into Paris, what is the best way to get to Bayeux (for the Normandy tours) and then to Barcelona for our cruise. I know the train ride is only 2+ hours Paris to Bayeux, but it appears that we would have to transfer to train station from CDG. When we were all younger, we didn't mind struggling with our luggage from platform to platform, station to station and station to airport, etc. But now, we don't really want to wrestle with our luggage. It also appears that we could fly from Orly to Barcelona, but we would have to get to Paris from Bayeux and then to Orly. Can someone make a suggestion on the best way to make these transfers? Or is there a company or agent that can help with these European train/plane reservations?
As a second part of our question: Is it better to fly from the US round trip to Paris or even London or do a multi city by flying into Paris or London and back home out of Dublin?
