Three of us arrive in Paris mid week, about 8am. I am looking for the average cost of a taxi from CDG (Paris) airport to 5th arrondissement? Do they charge per ride or person? Is there a long line at the airport to get a taxi? Thanks.
Thanks for the replies. I have booked a reservation on Shuttle-Inter, which was recommended here, and which also has great reviews on Trip Advisor. 55E for 3 of us seems a good price, and I did not have to pay in advance. Thanks again.
Hi Judy.
Legal taxis are metered, so cost is dependent on travel time and distance. They charge one euro per luggage piece on top of metered fare.
Line will depend on timing,, first off plane, first through Immigration etc.. how many other planes came in ahead of you etc. Can't predict.
Do NOT take any "taxi" that is not at the taxi stand,, someone approaches you, just say no.. there are illegal cabs that will rip you off.
I have taken taxis to 5th, but also RER( it can be very very easy and quick,,as long as you are not loaded with luggage) Cabs have run from 40-65 euros, not a bad deal when you divide by 3.The RER is almost 9 euros each.
I have never taken a shared shuttle bus/van, I think they run about 15 euros each.
I have taken a private car service, called ( oddly) inter-shuttle. It was a flat fee of 50 euros, door to door. I quite liked it. I also liked that they did not require a deposit or my CC number to reserve, so I figured I would try them .
There are also airport shuttle services and the charge is about 18 euro per person, and you needn't worry if there is traffic congestion. I have used Paris Shuttle a couple of times. www.paris-shuttle.com
