Any tips on weather conditions for travelling in the fall in and around Paris?
It can be warm and humid or cold and rainy or just freeking fantastic. Just dress in layers and have a lightweight waterproof jacket (and an umbrella). Like in the Karate Kid movie only "layer on, layer off, layer on, layer off").
Probably very similar to Eugene at that time of year... probably with frequent showers. Unlikely to be truly cold.
It is usually quite nice... we travel to Paris almost every year the last week in September... travel to the south and return to Paris the last week in October. That being said , this year it was very cold and rainy.. even hailed the last week in September, and was very, very cold and rainy the last week in October and the first week in November.A friend said it was nice in between. Dress in layers.. bring a sweater and jacket.. buy a lovely french scarf in the markets... they are a good buy and useful. I always wear my LLBean corduroys and a turtleneck.
