I, single,60+, woman, am planning a trip to France, Fall 2014. Paris,Avignon,Collioure. As I have been in Paris many times, it would be my arrival and departure stage. So, Avignon to Collioure or vice-vera? Side trips? 10 days allotted for the trip, but I am flexible.

Kate, what are you doing after that segment of the trip? You can fly home from Toulouse or Barcelona (about 3 hours by train), Marseilles (4), or Paris or Bordeaux (6). Or spring for a fight from a closer regional airport.

Hi, Since you are still planning the routes, how about Paris-Perpignan-Collioure. Time it right you can take the Paris to Perpignan TGV direct, then change to Collioure. That's what I did in July 2011. But if your plans include going to Avignon, then my suggestion won't work. Collioure is worth your time.
