Hi, has anyone tried Ratatouille Restaurant in district 2 of Paris? What's the price range of this restaurant, how's the food, and would you recommend others to go there?

Thanks

You're not getting answers from anyone who has eaten there. The restaurant is not listed anywhere in Le Guide Michelin for Paris, that's not a good sign. With so many good choices in Paris, I suggest you use the link below to pick a good restaurant.

Michelin Guide Rouge Online

click Restaurant tab

at left for town/city, input Paris 75002 to search just the 2nd arrond.

With so many good choices in Paris, it's a pity to pay Paris restaurant prices for mediocre food, when you can pay the same or lower prices for good food, if you know how to find it and the experts at Michelin have been finding good food in Paris for a hundred years.

response to Kent but with notes to Jenny, You're kidding right? If a restaurant is not listed in Michelin don't eat there? As a chef for 11 years working and living in France and elsewhere I can say while there are some fantastic restaurants in the Michelin guide there are some GREAT eats that would never be considered. By no means stick to that as your ONLY guide. I am sorry I am not familiar about Ratatouille but whenever we are in Paris we follow 3 rules 1. NO ENGLISH on the menu and if there is any other language besides French is should be because the restaurant is foreign (best Best Ethiopian!) 2. chalkboard menus with some evidence that it has been erased lately 3. Never plan ahead wander wander wander until you find a place that feels right to you.

I ate there April 2011. Food was good, not spectacular, but good. Price was about $20 Euro for lunch, included a beer. I don't remember a lot more about it. It was one of the lower end priced restaurants in that area -- we walked around and looked at menus before deciding to eat there. Plus, with the huge Ratatoulle topiary outside, who could resist?

If you want great food, reasonable prices, and fantastic service, try Chez L'Ami Jean at 27 Rue Malar. The lady greeting at the door when I went didn't speak English, but quickly found me a waiter who did. I felt pampered and well cared for. The helpings of food are huge and delicious. Go at lunch when prices are cheaper and you might not need a reservation. If you are going to Paris, check out Tom's Guide to Paris online. tomsguidetoparis.com
He gives a lot of ideas that many tourists don't ever see.
