I plan to spend a day in Padua, IT. If I buy the 48 hr Padova card, will it allow me to schedule a visit to the Scrovegni frescoes in after 7:00 p.m., in order to have 40 minutes viewing instead of the usual 15 or 20 minute visit? If not, is it worth buying it in addition to an additional Scrovegni card for entrance after 7:00? My primary goal is to see the frescoes, but I'm sure I would enjoy the other sites as well. Thanks for input!
Hey, Brenda. I don't know the answer to your question but might recommend you visit: http://www.cappelladegliscrovegni.it/eng/info_e.htm Send them an e-mail with your question from the "write us" link under Information on the far right side of page about half way down. I can tell you that when we visited in early July for the first appointment in the morning, we were allowed to stay for the second appointment time, because nobody else had booked it. We didn't have to leave the chapel and go back through the humidity controller doors but were allowed to just stay right in the chapel for another 15 or 20 minutes (whatever the allotted time is...can't recall exactly). You probably can't count on a similar thing, but you might get lucky that early in the am. BTW, the chapel is a breathtaking masterpiece...not to be missed. Good luck!!!
Do.What's.Necessary.To.Stay.As.Long.As.Possible.In.That.Chapel. We did the 40min visit years ago - and I still didn't want to leave LOL! Of course, if you want to leave early you can...
