Just back from Germany and have a few tips for anyone interested. First, I packed our clothes using white tissue paper to lesson wrinkles. I never used the wrinkle release liquid. I should have packed hair-spray instead. Wished I had found the battery operated tea lights for the WC in our hotel room. That is an excellent tip I gleaned from a RS seasoned traveler. If carrying a coat, stuff the pockets with scarves and socks to lesson the bulkiness of your luggage. I wore a lightweight jacket and a scarf onto the plane. I passed the "sizer" check in Munich but was sweating it for a moment. Took bubble wrap and a small role of tape for my breakable souvenirs. Bought tea towels, shirts and calendars for additional souvenirs. We never used the flat duffle bag brought to house our purchases. Glad we packed two washcloths and woolite. We only took the shoes we wore which were attractive and comfortable. Carried my "touring" Baggallini purse inside of the Baggallini messenger flight bag. I could not believe how much they held. Since patented by flight attendants, you can't go wrong with one or two. Course, the bag to take around town had so many compartments, I could not remember where I housed items and was constantly unzipping and searching. LOL. I packed all toiletries in tiny bottles which were 1 oz. or less. Starting adding Emergen (Vit. C + powder) to my water days before and continued. Went with a small cold due to traveling stress, I suppose. It is delicious. Came back with 4 cl of different flavors of Schnapps. Munich retail gal did not know for sure if they would pass TSA rules but they did. 4 cl = 3 oz? She placed the box in see-through plastic which is equivalent to our TSA plastic bag requirements. Equally delicious! Okay, that is enough for now. Happy travels everyone.
