Packing light or other advice for summer semester in Spain?

I will be attending summer session in June-July. Took an RS tour with my parents once and managed fine with only the RS convertible bag and a small backpack. I think a guy can manage with that for a 6 week semester with assorted weekend outings, don't you? I REALLY don't want to haul too much to Spain, but I will be attending classes, not just touring. Thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone have any experience along these lines? Thanks.

I traveled in Europe for 8 weeks a few years ago carrying only a carry-on pack and wearing the same three outfits. Just choose clothing that will be appropriate for classes (maybe what you wear on the plane) along with a small variety of summer clothing.
