Osprey Porter 65 as carry-on?

Has anyone had any experience using the Osprey Porter 65 as a carry-on? My wife and I each just got one and after testing it out it seems like the compression straps do a good job of cinching it down to carry-on size around the pack (if not overpacked) but it may be a bit too tall. I've considered sending it back and getting the Osprey Porter 46, but I'd rather not deal with the return shipping as in the end I'd end up paying more for the 46 than I did for the 65. Thanks

We have the Osprey 46 and it is great! The 65 might be pushing the limits though. It is a great pack though and I have no complaints.

According to the Osprey website, the Osprey Porter 65's dimensions are 26 x 16 x 10....way too big for carry-on. Especially in Europe where they check these things. Sorry.

My Osprey 50, even when not completely full barely fits into the overhead. I agree that the 65 would probably be too big. It might also encourage you to take too much stuff.
