I'm looking at getting an Orange esim for an upcoming trip to Denmark and Netherlands. When I go to the Orange website, I see an offer for 14 days / 20 GB for $30. It's called eSim for Europe. On a site like Sim Local, I see an offer for 31 days / 20 GB for $23.50, which looks like it's called Orange holiday zen. Any idea what the difference is, or why the cheaper card isn't offered on the Orange website itself? Has anyone used the esim from Sim Local? Thank you!
I’ve seen similar and also wondered so I reached out to Orange via their chat. Their agent said Orange Zen is the same as Orange Europe, it is just has a different product title as it is sold by vendors other than Orange. I also had a bunch of other questions regarding top-ups and extending a plan past the 14 or 30 day term. I eventually got connected with a live agent via chat (AI bot was first - and pretty good) and they were amazingly helpful. I’ve had good luck with Orange in the past and plan to use them again this June in Ireland.
Forgot to add: Have always bought from direct from Orange or other providers, so can’t speak re. Sim Local.
Thanks for the input. I also chatted directly with Orange - they said they'd discontinued the Zen plans, but those still being sold by other outlets would honored and should work. Since the difference was only a few dollars, I decided to buy directly from Orange, in case there were any issues with the Zen plan. The Orange esim for Europe plan worked great.
