Optimistic Amid Uncertainty

We are booked for a Norwegian cruise in late May and are also planning some time in London in early June. Our cruise line (Holland America) and others will provide future cruise credit (FCC) through 2021 - IF our cruise is cancelled. So I'm feeling optimistic. Either our spring travel plans to Europe work out OR we'll go another time.

We've booked an RS Tour to Scotland in October and are confident we will either enjoy this tour as planned OR get a full refund if cancelled, then book another later!

COVID-19 may prove to be a seasonal affliction though there's no way to know. One should always be cautious of infection, illness, accidents, etc, however I prefer to plan with a hopeful heart and wish prosperity for the travel industry. I hoping others feel the same way!

Yea Garrison. I am also trying to support the small businesses. Especially restaurants. We got a reservation at a restaurant that usually is impossible to get into. Order online. I agree, a positive attitude is paramount.

Yes! We are still planning for our late spring tour, and remaining optimistic. On the other hand, we aren't booking anything else nonrefundable!

Absolutely looking ahead to another sojourn to the U.K. next December.

Already reserved accommodation in Mousehole. 14 day cancellation. In direct contact with property owner no 3rd party.

Holding off to book airfare till May. Maybe even later.

Absolutely supporting the local businesses here in the Land of La. Enjoyed a lovely lunch with a good friend yesterday in the venerable Musso and Franks.
Bar was full, the restaurant definitely much quieter.

Waiter who was excellent got a great tip and so did the man managing the parking lot. Happy to do so!

Back to finishing my taxes and as a math atheist it’s a PIA!

We too are trying to stay optimistic regarding our June trip to Scotland and September visit to England. Everything of importance for both trips has already been booked and we have no intention of canceling until within 1-2 weeks of either, or we are given definitive answers by the governments about travel bans for those dates. In my heart, I'm reasonably certain that Scotland is not going to happen and so if/when we need to postpone the trip, we already have dates in mind to ask if we can just reschedule our reservations instead off an all-out cancellation.
