Oooops... I forgot!

I forgot to ask about taking a TEFL course to teach english as in spain. I want to know if its worth it. Is it like a 9 to 5 job here or will I still be able to travel for at least long weekends? (3 to 4 days) Can I do it part time or is it only full time? Have people who have done it been able to support themselves? I mean I dont think it will make me rich but will I be able to live modestly?

The European Union has strict rules about the employment of non-EU citizens. Basically, the employer has to show that no EU citizen is available to do the job. As there are many native English speakers, trained in EFL, living in England and Ireland, you probably can't get a job. The son of a friend got certified in TEFL by a very reputable school. The only place he could get a job was Lithuania, which wasn't bad for a 6 month lark. It's not Spain, however.
